Scalar Energy Healing

Tom Paladino claims to be able to heal you of almost anything including Ebola, Cancer, Herpes, Arthritis, Malaria and a lot more. All he needs is a photograph of your ailment and $175 a month. Good fakery is an expensive business.

What is Scalar Energy?

Paladino says “Scalar Energy is a double helix that originates from the sun and the stars of the universe. Scalar Energy is also known as prana, chi, radiant energy, zero point energy, qi, organ, eloptic energy. “

That list of energies is a mix of fakery, science fiction ideas and ancient Eastern arts.

“Scalar Energy” is a concept in Physics but it cannot be applied to random invented energies or to supposedly explain Chi etc.

Paladino may have lost the plot e.g. this comment “In heaven there is only Scalar Energy. There is no electricity in heaven.” Or he may be an expert scammer. After all he’s found a way to get money from a lot of people for doing what appears to be nothing.

Paladino claims to have treated more than 500,000 people and asks for a testimonial from each.

He does have a lot of positive testimonials, which may be genuine, but the placebo effect means that about a third of his ‘customers’ should believe his treatment works but he only has hundreds of testimonials not the vast number you would expect.

Whatever his game is, the numbers who believe his treatment works is pitifully low.

Don’t waste your time and money on Tom Paladino.

The Impact of Fraud on Victims

As part of the government’s annual figures on fraud, they include ‘experimental’ figures of different ways to analyse the data. This includes statistics on the emotional and physical impact of fraud.

These show that where there has been financial loss, the most common effects are:-

To feel ashamed, embarrassed or to blame oneself
Loss of time / inconvenience
Stopped using specific websites
Time off work
Physical health problems

Where there has been full or partial reimbursement of losses, there is a lot less of the negative feelings of embarrassment, shame and self-blame.

However, many people do not report any such symptoms.

If you are a victim of fraud – do not blame yourself as the fraudsters get a lot of practice in such deceit and successfully deceive people of all ages, races, level of education and expertise.

Car Accident Cold Callers

The Fightback Ninja says:-

I have been receiving car accident cold calls recently.

I haven’t had any accidents – Ninja’s never do.

So, my mobile number must have got onto a scammers call list, sadly.

Katie phoned me. Probably a fake name.

“My name is Katie and I’m calling about your recent car accident”.

It’s nice to talk with you Katie. So, which accident was that then Katie?

“The car accident”.

Yes. So, which one was that?

She obviously didn’t like my response and put the phone down.

Then there was Abbey.

“Hello. My name is Abbey and I’m calling from Sunshine Advisors. We’re calling about your recent car accident”

Right. Hello Abbey. Sunshine Advisors – that’s a good name.

“About your accident which was not your fault.”

That accident?

“If you give me the details of your car and when the accident happened we can start the recovery process to get you damages.”

Right. That sounds good.

She didn’t respond.

What accident are we talking about then Abbey?

She put the phone down. They recognise when you know it’s a scam and believe it’s better to move onto a new victim than play a dead hand.

If you have the time, it’s fun to play along and waste their time – make up answers. There’s no need to be truthful as they called you to lie to you.

What do they want?
Usually these are for fake insurance claims for something like whiplash which is very difficult to disprove. Sometimes they are just phishing for your personal details to sell on.

Whatever they want – do not tell them anything personal as you may regret it.

Stupidest Scam or Spam of the Week – Cancer Cure

Doctors Health Press announce “Cancer destroyed by eating this one food”.

Then lots of rubbish about the supposed cancer fighting nutrient and pseudo-scientific babble about phyto nutrients.

Apparently new research has shown how this nutrient can selectively target and attack cancer cells and at the same time leave healthy cells alone.

No. There are over 200 types of cancers and they are very different diseases, responding to different medicines and regimes.

But in case a cure for cancer is not enough – this scammer also offers a fruit that fights Alzheimer’s disease, how to lower your blood pressure without drugs and cholesterol fighters plus lots more.

Sadly it is the usual scammer rubbish. They either sell expensive but useless supplements or you pay your money and they give you nothing.

Time-Wasters Update

Astonishing proof that a new diabetes cure is better than prescription drugs and that pharmaceutical companies have been trying to shut down the doctors revealing this secret. Nope – just the usual scammers lies. Diabetes type II is most commonly cured by weight loss – no secret there and diabetes type I is a genetic condition that cannot be cured, only lived with through the use of drugs.

A weird scam email about bed bugs from alyssaswhitecity.org which is obviously an invented meaningless domain name. Plus the email is duplicated with a series of different titles including “special car financing”, “female libido booster”, “protect yourself from violent assault”. Pathetic rubbish.

“Sir Terence Harvey” says he is in search of a reliable and reputable person for business and investment. Sending out spam emails to millions of random people isn’t the best way to find reputable people. But then the email is not from Sir Terence Harvey, but from a scammer.

“Spec Ops Shooting” wants to share top shooting tips from a former Green Beret. Only in America. No thanks.

Rita Cotty sent me a very long story about Rev. father Edmmed Cax and $450,000 he wants to pay me and is disappointed I haven’t replied to his emails. Shame it’s fake money – I could do with $450,000.

Surrey Police Roll-Out Property Marking Kits

The Police believe that the use of property marking kits can make a big impact on the level of burglaries in an area.

Detective Inspector Dee Fielding said: “We have evidence from many Police Forces that the use of the SelectaDNA kits have successfully cut the number of burglars trying their luck when they realise that items marked with the DNA code are much harder to sell on. In North Manchester, SelectaDNA report that burglaries reduced by up to 83% following a home crime reduction initiative.

The kits are called forensic marking kits named SelectDNA. The Surrey Police have 30,000 kits to hand out to household in burglary hotspots.

Local officers and neighbourhood teams will be handing out the free SelectaDNA property marking kits over the next 12 months to those households in hot spot areas.

The SelectaDNA packs consist of a bottle of clear liquid which carries its very own unique synthetic DNA code which is only visible under ultraviolet light. The product can be used to mark valuable items of household property such as TVs, laptops, iPads, games consoles, musical instruments, tools, jewellery and antiques. Marked property is then registered onto a secure police and insurance approved national database which proves ownership and allows recovered items to be traced back to the owner.
