Stupidest Scam or Spam of the Week

An email from info @wlcreation.biz claims to be from a Marketing Manager named Roma who works for a leading online Marketing company.

She wants to do SEO for us. That is search engine optimisation on our website to improve out ranking on Google and Bing and other search engines.

And she says she has ideas for our website.

That could be believable except in the next paragraph she asks what our website URL is so how can she have ideas for our website when she doesn’t even know what it is let alone have actually looked at it.

If she had looked at the radio station website she might have seen that we don’t use to sell anything hence her offer to increase the sales from our website is rather dumb.

The email has no company name so I assume she is just a lone worker trying to get business – but she needs to think a lot more and write worthwhile email not off the shelf junk that only shows her laziness.

Time-Wasters Update

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

Naturally eliminate every trace of cellulite from your body in 21 days. There would be a lot of happy people if that was true – but it’s just the usual scammers lies.

Rental income assured from apartments in Huddersfield. But the email is from a Marketing company looking for leads to sell. There are no apartments.

A phishing email claiming to be from Lloyds Bank wanting me to click a link to verify my account under new rules. The email is from [email protected] which is definitely not Lloyds Bank.

Another dumb Marketing company looking for leads to sell – this time trying to attract people with a fake 6.4% income bond.

An email claiming you can melt away two pounds of body fat every day with no effort. Yeah – and no food.

Those Terrible Time-Wasters

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

Mr. Massella Guiseppe claims to be a loan investment facilitator at Citibank and wants to offer me funds for my business expansion or any other reason I want. Shame he doesn’t even know my name and his email contained a nasty virus.

A moron named Jamie says he visited my website today and wants to work as an intern to get experience in the field. But it’s just a standard scam letter sent out by the million.

Did you know that wearing glasses can cause you to go blind? So says an email from ‘Vision Care’ and that by using a weird trick anyone can make their eyes 20/20 within 7 days. Responding to stupid scams like this can cause you to lose a lot of money.

Apparently it’s a problem that you cannot take guns or knives with you everywhere so now there is a tactical pen that becomes a weapon. There are some sick people in this world.

Thomas Bailey wants me to claim $37.3 million and share it with him. I don’t think so.

Stupidest Scam or Spam of the Week

So, what’s the dumbest scam or spam on the Internet this week?

If you’re a trained carpenter or at least very experienced and proficient at woodwork then you might consider making a wooden boat. Clearly even a one man boat is a major piece of work for which you need the right tools, workshop space and a significant commitment to completing the build.

But there’s a moron who keeps sending out spam emails offering 518 boat building plans – step-by-step guides plus videos.

“It’s a simple yet BRILLIANT process to build boats … quickly and effortlessly”. “Anybody can do it”.

He claims to have just finished his second boat last week ready for a fishing trip.

Is there anyone dumb enough to believe that building a wooden boat by hand is effortless?

I hope there isn’t

What Are Those Time-Wasters Up To?

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

An email claiming to be from NatWest Bank Online Team warning me they were unable to process a bill. However the email is from [email protected], is full of spelling mistakes and the sender doesn’t know my name so it’s not from Nat West.

A proposal to sell us a campaign of 3 million online advertisements at 98% discount. Wow – someone is desperate to sell. No thanks.

An offer to do photographic image editing at best prices. But the email is from a Hotmail account for someone claiming to be a Business Development Executive at a large international company which has no name. I don’t think so.

Mr. Yuan Shu – an executive at a financial institution in Hong Kong wants me to help manage very large sums of money for him. Shame his email address is Gmail and he’s a lying b*stard.

A leading neuroscientist at Brown University in America has uncovered a spectacular benefit of everyday cooking oil – it cures Alzheimers in 21 days. These are pathetic lies targeting vulnerable people. There’s a special place in Hell for these scammers.

Time-Wasters Update

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

An agent is selling advertising space on the Guardian newspaper online. “Unusually low rates for the Guardian. Just £667 for a 28 day campaign”. Just means they are desperate for any advertising they can get. No thanks.

A moron sending out emails claiming to be from Barclays and telling me about a new bill payment method. Just click to review my account. But the email is from alhasawi.com and that is not Barclays.

An email claiming to be from a lawyer stating that I am the beneficiary of a huge sum of money sitting at the Federal Reserve Bank in America, sent there from a bank in Africa. I don’t think so – especially as the poor lawyer can only afford an AOL email address and that’s sad.

Apparently a new study has shown a North American Indian tribe is immune to high blood pressure problems and their secret is a specific common food. Yeah right.

Now, Harvard scientists have found a way to signal to your fat cells to open up and release the fat so you can lose as much weight as you want to with no exercise needed. Yep – totally believable.
