Joe Murray offers to write 5 star glowing reviews of our business on Google – for payment of course. Clearly this is disgraceful and in many countries it is illegal. Google are very clear that businesses must not in any way solicit positive reviews. Let’s hope Joe is caught and prosecuted.
How to make money at home with a side income is a subject many people search for on the Internet. One latest set of scam emails claim you can make hundreds of dollars for an hours work putting videos clips on YouTube. Obviously no-one will pay a large amount of money for something so simple and legal. It’s a scam. People only get paid for such activities on social media if it is illegal. Don’t be conned into thinking there is easy way to make a fortune.
There are lots of Netflix phishing emails because so many people now have Netflix accounts. This latest one claims that Netflix could not complete the payment for the subscription and I need to click the link to review my billing details. As the sender doesn’t know my name it’s an obvious scam, plus the fact that I don’t have a Netflix account.
Hampton Lovett are consulting surveyors but they send out spam emails about helping businesses to get a reduction on their business rates. Whether or not they can actually do that – their emails contain marketing exaggerations (i.e. lies) and they’ve bought a spam email list as they sent such an email to the radio station addressed to someone who left 6 years previously. Pathetic. Any professional organisation should do much better.
“Government’s darkest secret sees the light of day due to Coronavirus situation”. You might expect something interesting following that headline, but it’s just an email claiming yet another invention that makes electricity free for everyone. Boring rubbish. Of course – there is no such invention and anyone who thinks that government’s biggest secret is a simple invention needs to get a better imagination.
