An email supposedly from ‘Your Painful Joints’ but is really from arthritis @recamark.xyz.
The xyz domain is meant to be used for organisations that do not fit in the normal categories of business, personal, charity, blogs etc. and does not match a specific domain suffix such as .london or .net or .road
In this case it’s almost certainly used as it’s an easy and cheap one for scammers to buy, whereas some domains are restricted on who can buy them.
The subject is “#1 worst fruit for arthritis & inflammation (do not eat)’
It goes on about how the author’s best friend is a doctor who cured himself of arthritis and now wants to give away free books about how to reverse arthritis.
It also says that he cured himself by just not eating 7 specific foods.
If so, that would make for a very short book as it only needs one page – the list of those foods.
In reality, it’s just a phishing scam trying to get people’s names and addresses to sell on to other scammers.
There is lots of information about arthritis on the Internet and in books and about which foods can affect it and so on – no need to resort to unknown people peddling rubbish by email.

Apparently, new research shows that certain common foods have devastating effects on men, including:- diabetes, depression, low libido and more. According to the email, this research is “heartbreaking” and “there’s no avoiding it”. It’s just a scammer trying to get people to click on a link they probably get paid to drive traffic to.Fortunately, there is an easy way to avoid such a scammer – delete such stupid messages.
An email titled “You can get rid of 30 lbs in 2 weeks” from Julie Rogers. So, it’s the usual scammer rubbish about magical ways to lose lots of with no effort. This one is full of links to click and they are each 4 lines long – approx.. 400 characters each which is a ridiculous number. Maybe the scammer thinks longer links look more meaningful – No they don’t.
American survivalists are a strange breed and sometimes emails appear about odd foods or plants or pieces of equipment that all ‘preppers’ must have. One recent one is about a tree that you can supposedly eat every bit of. Trees do provide fruit and seeds and some parts of some trees are nutritious such as heart of palm trees which is a delicacy in many tropical countries. But I wouldn’t want to eat an entire tree – YUK and probably a very unhealthy course of action.
Some scammers are such morons it’s hard to believe they can use a computer at all. An email arrived titled ‘Job Application’ and it says “#GREETINGS# My name is Accounting and I’m interested in a job” and it’s signed off as “Accounting” as if that is a name. I don’t think we’ll reply to that one.
“Knock out Arthritis for Good. A 100% Natural Program. You can learn the real cause of arthritis and get rid of it within 21 days”. Well, stupidity is natural unfortunatelybut arthritis is a group of problems with multiple causes and if for example your knee cartilage is worn away leading to arthritic pain then no ‘solution’ is going to fix that within 21 days.
