Apparently the National Gun Association is giving me a heads up about the imminent release of a x700 LED flashlight. This is supposedly a military grade flashlight so bright it can blind a bear. This is strange stuff. What do flashlights have to do with guns? There are endless different flashlights available on the market including many labelled as military use. x700 presumably means the flashlight can give out 700 lumens of light which is quite bright for a small flashlight – it’s about the same as an old style 50 watt incandescent bulb. If I want a flashlight I’d just buy one from the local DIY store or Amazon.
“Tired of out-of-this-world household repair bills?” is a strange title for an email but this one is about a Home Warranty i.e. basic insurance against repair bills. There’s nothing wrong with that except these emails are from scammers just after your financial details and credit card numbers. The email is not from an insurance company but from brainsprogram.bid and the .bid domain names are a favourite with scammers currently as anyone can get these and they are very cheap. If you want household repair insurance – make sure to select a reputable supplier and definitely not from an unsolicited email.
More emails about how to start trading crypto currencies and make a fortune in days. This one offers a robot that does the trading for you – you just hand over the money and it turns it into a bigger pile of cash than you can imagine. Guaranteed earnings of £1,845 per day. No – any kind of trading is risky and crypto currencies are notoriously volatile and the idea of a robot making the bets is just crazy. Only the scammers win.
An email sent to a long list of people which tells me it’s a spam message. The content is very short “What a surprise! I’ve been searching for it for ages!” and a link to click. Not a chance.
SleepCool wants to sell me on their sleep innovation award winners. Sounds very odd and the email is actually from ecalledduc.icu which does not sound like a bed retailer and the icu domain name suffix is not intended for retailers so no thanks.
