So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?
A message from the government telling me I have a tax refund of £249.23 waiting. The email address has been spoofed – it seems to be from a dwp.gsi.gov.uk address. This used to be a government email address but is no longer used and the tax office has been HMRC for years. So sadly no tax refund just a phishing scam.
Some moron selling antibiotics at half price is sending out email adverts. Clearly doesn’t care about the risks of selling antibiotics without prescription and that we all need to use fewer antibiotics.
“Save Thousands When Emigrating or Buying Overseas Property” is the headline but it’s from propertyinvestmentfinders.com who generally just look for leads to sell and in this case the email advertises currency exchange.
I have a received an e-postcard apparently from someone called Brodie Lavoie. The scammers are relying on curiosity to get people to click on the link to see the postcard which of course does not exist. Don’ be tempted.
A new Super-Drink that shrinks your belly. The usual scam rubbish that can only be true if it makes you vomit. No thanks.
