So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?
An advertising email for shop epos units. We’re not a shop so this is irrelevant but also this is from data-host-lead.trade so it’s just a Marketing company looking for leads to sell.
An email offering outsourcing of credit control i.e. chasing overdue customer bills. We’re a volunteer organisation – no customer bills.
An email claiming to be from a solicitor in Spain offering a mutually profitable partnership. Just a usual scammer wanting to hook people interested in money for nothing but they will learn when they get nothing for their money.
Western Union wanting to just confirm my email address by logging in on their screen and using the 4 digit pin supplied by Western Union. A simple scam using a fake web page to get people to type in their login and security code. The address for the page starts with www.upzy.net/js/… which should tell anyone that it’s not Western Union.
An odd email about hospital food and food safety. Complete with a link to a quiz about food borne illness. Very strange and of course irrelevant to us.
These people just waste our time and clog up the Internet with rubbish.
