Russian girls are in love with me!
Sofia thinks I’m her type and wants to know me more and she wants to send me some photos.
But then so do Yulia, Tanya, Liza, Anastasia, Victoria, Sveta and Oksana. All emails received in one day and with almost identical wording.
Just simple dumb emails from non-existent girls. Probably run by one scammer or a scam ring. The sender’s email address is rambler.ru which is often used by scammers from Russia.
There are two obvious scams from this
- The emailer asks for personal information – name, address, birth date, phone number etc. then sells the information to other scammers.
- A romance scam. The emailer pretends to be interested in me and asks questions and makes promises. She tries to build an online relationship, while providing reasons why we can never meet up, then it turns into requests for money for any reason – such as to pay for a plane ticket to visit me or to pay medical bills after having been mugged.
Just a very stupid scam that catches out very gullible people.
