Most kids are told that eating carrots helps them to see in the dark. Doesn’t really matter if it’s true or not as carrots are healthy food and getting kids to eat them is what’s important. This scammer has chosen that belief for her scam. “Shocking new research shows that carrots actually kill cells in your eyes…” then her solution is a new secret recipe which can give everyone perfect 20/20 vision. All rubbish of course from the pathetic mind of a greedy scammer.
A customer survey request arrives from TrustShoppers and apparently I could win a £200 Aldi gift card if I fill it in. There is no organisation called Trust Shoppers and the website links are to scam sites and Aldi don’t make £200 gift cards.
“You need this blood pressure lowering food” so the message screams. It is well known that assorted vegetables and other foodstuffs have an effect on blood pressure. Many are temporary and some have longer term cumulative effects. But there is no magic ingredient – treating blood pressure is about lifestyle changes, weight loss and diet changes, not magic.
An email goes on about ground breaking research in Chicago that proves where memory cells are stored and claims there is now a 3 minute technique that will permanently restore lost memories. The research was actually on mice and is very basic, plus it is not related to human memories. Just a scammer looking for something novel to use to peddle her lies.
I just have to click in the email to win a £50 gift card from Tesco. No – it’s a pack of lies.
