So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?
A Canadian pharmacy wants to sell me prescription drugs at 20% discount. But the title is ‘Experience a Huge Shipped To Your Place’ which is clearly rubbish and indicative of a scam. Plus the text is in the form of pictures to try to bypass spam filters and the bottom of the message contains paragraphs clearly copied from a book – again trying to evade spam filters. Just a scam.
“Without a doubt – one of the biggest weight loss breakthroughs in decades”. Supposedly Jenna Leveille has lost 122 lbs using this ingredient. Nope – if she exists then she will no doubt have lost a lot of money. This is just the usual drivel about some magical way to lose huge amounts of weight. Never works.
Apparently researchers have discovered a new vison therapy that can solve your eye problems. A therapy that can help specific eye conditions could possibly be believable but anything that can solve all problems is always a lie.
A simple phishing email trying to convince me that I need to click a link to confirm my 1and1 account is still valid. The email is from domain name litergateway.org.library.anselm.edu which by rights should be an educational establishment not someone claiming to work for 1and1 which clearly they don’t. Plus I don’t have such an account.
A message claiming to be from UPS couriers telling me my shipment has been shipped and I should open the attached pdf file to confirm details. But the attached pdf contains a virus. No thanks.
