There are lots of lonely men and women looking for romance on the Internet.
Scammers know this can be an easy opportunity for them – in forums, fake dating sites etc.
One of the simplest scams is the typical scam message claiming to be from a lonely women looking for a man and just happened to find your email address.
But some scammers use the pared down version which is basically just a fake female name and a please contact me message.
The radio station received a flood of such messages such as:-
Hello dear, do you remember how we communicated with you?
Long ago you could not see, I am Marina – with Russia, do you remember me?
My email lindasandracis @rambler.ru Let’s talk – I’m waiting.
Anyone replying to this message must have fallen out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down.
The message says ‘I am Marina’ but the email is from Juarezblqxb and the email to reply to is Linda sadracis so that’s three different names and the email is from creditcorrections.net
Too stupid altogether.
