For some time there have been stupid emails about solar panels that are so cheap as to be almost free and how you can build your own solar panels at no cost.
These are ludicrous claims, but seem very popular with scammers so somebody must be replying to them.
e.g. The “20K Solar Panel System is Coming to an End”
Wall Street confirms all shareholders are selling hard after this weird cheap solution popped on the radar…”
The title of the email in this case is
“Dead visionary reveals Solar Industry’s most guarded secret”
I love the fact that the person doing the revealing is actually dead.
Probably cannot be sued for lying in that case.
The email continues
Unlimited energy for less than 80 cents a day, without paying one nickel more to their energy supplier.
Most people have learned by now that solar panels can be a good idea in places where there is a great deal of sunshine – Florida, the Mediterranean area etc. but a terrible idea in temperate countries such as Britain and much of America.
As to the big secret – there isn’t one. The economics of solar panel are well known and lots of companies make them and they all perform at a similar level depending on the quality of components they use and the exact design.
Solar Panels are becoming cheaper each year due to the increased volumes of production and improving technology, but it’s a progressive process – there is no magic answer that gives zero cost solar panels.
