The beauty industry is enormous and always desperate for some new breakthrough way to make people look younger or have firmer skin etc.
This desperation has led to a corresponding huge scam industry intended to take advantage of those desperate people willing to try almost anything to look younger.
A latest scam quotes new research showing that a class of collagen supplements can reduce wrinkles dramatically. It is true that there is research showing that collagen can temporarily affect cells in a dish but this is much more of a problem to reproduce in people.
For example, collagen supplements are broken down in the stomach so do not affect the skin.
However, the scammers don’t care whether something works, just whether they can catch people out and steal money from them.
The latest scam emails on this are from addresses such as support @programmers.bid which is supposed to be an auction website and nothing to do with supplements.
If you want to buy anti-wrinkle products – do so from a reputable supplier and never respond to unsolicited emails offering something magical. Scammers either have no product or have inferior and possibly dangerous products. Do not trust them and do not trust claims just because they sound scientific.
