At the radio station, we received several variants of this scam message. The message title is Quick Question.
It says
I was visiting your website on such a date and I’m very impressed.
I’m currently looking for work either full-time or as an intern to get experience in the field.
Please review my CV and let me know what you think
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
And there is an rtf file attached.
This looks like a genuine email from someone interested in learning about radio stations.
BUT – the give-away that it’s fake is that it doesn’t say experience in working at a radio station but experience in the field. Hence it almost certainly has gone out to lots of different types of organisations and is therefore a scam.
Also the email came in several times but with a different name each time and the email address is a Russian one.
Do not open CVs or anything else that is an email attachment unless you know the person who sent it to you and you expected it.
That’s the intern scam.
