So, what’s the dumbest scam or spam on the Internet this week?
Oh goody – my payslip has arrived.
It’s an email attachment so I just have to open up the attached file to see how much I earned this month.
Hang on a minute. How come I’m getting paid for a month that is only half completed?
And why does the email call me ‘Dear Customer’ when I work for them.
But of course I don’t work for them. The email is from Janice.isherwood @wefixcars.net.au
So I assume that’s a car repair business Internet company in Australia. I guess I’m 12,000 miles away from the action.
Drat!
Better not open the attachment and release unknown malware.
