So, what’s the dumbest scam or spam on the Internet this week?
An email to an address that hasn’t been used in 3 years, but is still on spammers lists for sale.
The message says it’s from Thornton_FIRST_NAME @burrhill.com
The reason why it says FIRST_NAME is that the idiot sender was trying to do a mail merge using a list of fake names to create a large number of emails to go out, but got it wrong and instead of putting in a persons first name from the list , it stayed as FIRST_NAME and the moron was too dumb to even check what she was sending out.
The title on the email is “Life is pleasant – don’t let in infections” and there are no contents to the email – just a button that says “Purchase Now” but doesn’t work and a note below it that says “Use this link if button not work” (excellent grammar) then a shortened link that could be to anything
Altogether not the brightest scammer.
