So, what’s the dumbest scam or spam on the Internet this week?
An email from Yelena that says “Hey – tell me your mobile number – Marina from Russia”
She seems to have a problem knowing her own name.
It goes on. “Hello dear, do you remember how we communicated?.
Long ago you could not see. I am Marina – from Russia. Let’s talk, I’m waiting”
The English grammar is odd – probably deliberately so to put off most people and leave just a few gullible ones to respond.
The message actually came from a man’s email address – “Oswald”
An unusual name but a woman sending out such a message from a man’s email address.
Could this possibly be a scam ?????????
Could anyone not see it’s a scam ?
Presumably if they send out enough millions of these messages they will collect a few mobile numbers and names.
Pathetic.
