So, what’s the dumbest scam or spam on the Internet this week?
An email from mtspeed.com.br (Brazil) telling a story about an American Captain Jennifer Menard who wants me to look after two chests of valuables and I will be well rewarded for this.
I am to reply with the following information
- My full name
- My occupation and job title
- My date of birth
- My marital status
- My nationality
- My full contact addresses for home and business
- My international passport number
- My private telephone number and business number
That’s all – she only missed out asking for my blood group and a DNA sample.
it’s just a simple scam of course – anyone returning such information would find their identity stolen, money stolen and huge debts raised. I hope no-one has fallen for this scam.
