A message supposedly from Fannie Rodriquez sent to someone who left the radio station many years ago – scammers don’t always keep their email lists up to date.
It says “Look This Over Before It’s too Late”.
“We are prepared to give you 400 daily through the next 12 months”
Wonderful – but 400 what?
400 one carat diamonds maybe
Or 400 of those 500 Euro notes
Or 400 Kit-Kats
Or 400 toilet rolls?
Who knows – certainly the scammer doesn’t
If the scammer picks the wrong currency for the recipient then that’s a give-a-way so this scammer left it blank. Just 400.
Then comes the warning to make you act quickly. “This will only be held for another 2 hours and we advise you to accept this”.
Of course, we don’t know what it is we are supposed to accept, but it’s all just a scam so doesn’t really matter.
No-one offers paid jobs without knowing who it is they are offering to.
The bottom of the message says “You have been sent a corr-espondance that’s an adver-tis-e-ment”.
This is to try to evade the spam filters at the email providers.
It would take a very stupid or very desperate person to reply to this kind of message but sadly some people do.
